UNEARTH Bassist To Release Book 'Bet On Black Journal'

August 14, 2009

Bassist John "Slo" Maggard of Massachusetts metallers UNEARTH will release an eBook, entitled "Bet On Black Journal", on August 21. "Written together with my long time friend and writer Corey Tomlinson, we're taking a look at casino gaming from the eyes of a touring musician," explains Maggard in a press release. "The book isn't only a guide to gaming either; we'll be talking with my fellow musicians to tell some of their stories on the accompanying web site and sharing some of my own experiences on the road and in the world's casinos."

He continues, "In support of this new release, I will be running some contests and drawings for some things such as instruments, casino nights, etc. I don't want this just to be about selling a book — the whole experience is for you, our fans, and I want it to be as interactive and entertaining as possible. I also have special plans in place to benefit a charity that's near and dear to my own life. I'll be sharing more news on that as the holidays approach."

With years of experience touring and gambling all over the world, Slo has applied his experience and talents to finding ways to swing the odds in your favor. Whether you've gambled a thousand times or just turned 21 and are roaring to go and play for the first time, this book has something for you.
