UNEARTH's New Album Tops College Radio Chart

October 11, 2006

UNEARTH vocalist Trevor Phipps has issued the following update:

"We want to thank everyone at college radio for charting our latest record, 'III: In the Eyes of Fire', at #1 this week on the CMJ Loud Rock charts. Now, our new record has reached #1 at both CMJ and FMQB. Thanks to all the college radio and metal specialty show DJs who continue to spin our record two months after it hit radio! Your support is more than appreciated.

"We are now gearing up for our two-week Japan/Australia/New Zealand run. We leave tomorrow (Thursday) for Japan for the Loud Park festival with SLAYER, DIO, IN FLAMES, CHILDREN OF BODOM, MASTODON and many others. Go to www.loudpark.com for more info. After that we hit Australia with KILLSWITCH ENGAGE and LAMB OF GOD with half the dates (as well as New Zealand) being KILLSWITCH ENGAGE and UNEARTH only. We are MORE than looking forward to this trip and we are ready to bring our high-energy show back to the places we don't get to tour to enough."

"III: In the Eyes of Fire" has sold 54,000 copies in the United States since its August 8 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD was recorded at a Seattle studio with producer Terry Date (PANTERA, DEFTONES). A limited-edition version of "III: In the Eyes of Fire" includes a bonus DVD containing the "making of" footage for the album and a live video filmed on the Sounds of The Underground tour.
