October 22, 2007Montreal's rambunctious and unique classical/black metal ensemble UNEXPECT will make its television debut this weekend with a live performance on Fox TV's "Fearless Music".
This week's show will air Saturday, October 27 on Fox 5 at 12:30 a.m. in New York, and will feature UNEXPECT performing the song "Desert Urbania" from the group's debut album, "In A Flesh Aquarium". Other bands scheduled to perform on this week's episode include SMITH ISLAND, LONDON EGG, THE OSKAR AND PSYCHOLOVERS and THEO AND THE SKYSCRAPERS
"Fearless Music" is currently airing on network affiliates across the U.S. including the number one market in the country, New York City.
Currently in its fifth season, "Fearless Music" features established, as well as up-and-coming bands, as they perform live in a recording studio, a format very similar to the BBC's "The Old Grey Whistle Test" show from the 1970s, "Austin City Limits", "Sessions at West 54th St.", etc. except without a studio audience.
UNEXPECT is currently playing a few shows across the East Coast, and will head out on the road this January with TRAIL OF TEARS for a full North American tour.
