Updated: EXODUS Added To More Dates On MEGADETH's U.S. Tour

October 16, 2004

San Francisco Bay Area thrashers EXODUS have secured the opening slot on MEGADETH's "Blackmail the Universe Tour" beginning with the Oct. 25 date in Anaheim, CA. EXODUS were previously announced as the openers for the tour's six West Coast dates, but have now been added to the remainder of the trek. Also appearing on the bill will be the Los Angeles-based quintet EARSHOT.

Commented EXODUS guitarist Gary Holt, "We are getting equal billing with EARSHOT and a fair set time so it will be killer. I have no problem opening this tour. We need to get our asses out there and play for more people and this is just what the doctor ordered! So all of you who do not live on the West Coast make sure to get your asses there early so you don't miss our set. The new MEGADETH is awesome and I'm looking forward to seeing Dave and co. live as it's been a while. And a mega thanks to Dave for doing what so many bands talk about yet never follow through on, taking some old friends out on the road!"

As previously reported, EXODUS were forced to postpone their South American tour last month following the departure of singer Steve "Zetro" Souza. Handling the lead vocals for EXODUS during the MEGADETH trek and the rescheduled South American dates (which immediately precede the MEGADETH tour) will be SKINLAB singer Steev Esquivel.
