VAN CANTO Signs With NAPALM RECORDS

August 21, 2009

German "a cappella metal" band VAN CANTO — which consists of five singers and one drummer (no guitars, no bass, no keyboards) — has inked a deal with Napalm Records. The group is currently recording its new album at the Blind Guardian Studios with producer Charlie Bauernfeind for an early 2010 release. In addition, VAN CANTO's first two albums — "A Storm To Come" and "Hero" — will be reissued around the same time as their as-yet-untitled new effort.

The official video for VAN CANTO's version of the NIGHTWISH classic "Wishmaster" can be viewed below. The song is featured on VAN CANTO's most recent album, "Hero", which was released on September 26, 2008 through GUN Records. The CD features 10 songs, including originals like "Speed Of Light" as well as covers of several metal classics, among them songs by IRON MAIDEN, NIGHTWISH and MANOWAR. The album also includes a bonus DVD.
