VAN HALEN Eligible For Induction Into ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME

VAN HALEN are among the front-runners eligible for 2004 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Other first-time contenders include BLACK FLAG, THE CRAMPS, X and SIOUXSIE & THE BANSHEES. Previous nominees that have yet to garner induction include BLACK SABBATH, CHICAGO, ALICE COOPER, DEEP PURPLE, GENESIS, KISS, LYNYRD SKYNYRD, THE NEW YORK DOLLS, ROXY MUSIC, TODD RUNDGREN, THE SEX PISTOLS, PATTI SMITH, TOM WAITS, TRAFFIC, YES and ZZ TOP. The Hall of Fame nominating committee will meet June 5 to discuss potential nominees.
