VAN HALEN's 'Rock Star' Status Clouded

Launch Radio Networks reports: VAN HALEN's participation on the new season of the "Rock Star" reality TV show is still unknown. A representative for the series told Launch that the VAN HALEN/"Rock Star" link is just a rumor, while their spokesman "vehemently" denied to TMZ.com that his earlier statement was in any way proof that VAN HALEN was headed for the televised talent search. A TMZ.com story over the weekend included this quote from the spokesman, about whether the VAN HALEN rumor was true: "I'm not denying it. I'm not going to answer any questions about it."

Regardless of who the band is that will be featured this year, tryouts for the new season of "Rock Star" begin March 1 in Austin, Texas.
