VASAELETH Completes Work On Debut Album

December 17, 2009

Texas/Georgia death metal outfit VASAELETH, which features members of LEGIONS OF ASTAROTH and DAGON, has completed work on its debut album, "Crypt Born And Tethered To Ruin", for a mid-February release via Profound Lore Records. The CD was mastered by Colin Marston (KRALLICE, DYSRHYTHMIA, GORGUTS) and the cover art was created by Antichrist Kramer.

Following its highly acclaimed limited demo that circulated within underground death metal circles , VASAELETH's first full-length CD "will put [the band] within the elite of the U.S. death metal underground . . alongside several other acts which also have recently surfaced that will portray a true vision of where the underground death metal movement in the U.S. should be headed towards during these apocalyptic dark times of need and desperation," according to a press release. . . 'Crypt Born And Tethered To Ruin' is the audial essence of pure death manifestation. Raw, evil, guttural, ugly brutal atmospherically powerful death metal (the way it should be) that mirrors the early glory days of such acts as INCANTATION and AUTOPSY and which severs as the complete antithesis of some of this other so-called polished, clean and technically precise and triggered athletic gear/rap-influenced pseudo-'death metal' coming out today that should do us all a favour and throw itself off a cliff."
