May 19, 2005

VELVET REVOLVER and MASTODON have been confirmed for the 2005 edition of the Roskilde Festival, set to take place June 30-July 3 in Roskilde, Denmark. Also scheduled to perform at the festival are BLACK SABBATH, AUDIOSLAVE, THE HAUNTED, ISIS, ENSLAVED, SUNN O))), MERCENARY and D.A.D.

The Roskilde Festival is held annually in a large field just outside of Roskilde, thirty minutes southwest of Copenhagen.

Seventy-five thousand tickets to the festival will be sold for DKK 1,250 each, according to The Copenhagen Post.

Proceeds from the festival benefit a wide variety of causes and social-service organisations, and some of this year's proceeds will help fund mobile health-care clinics in Palestine.
