VELVET REVOLVER: 'Nissan Live Sets' Performance, Q&A Posted Online

VELVET REVOLVER's recent Nissan Live Sets performance on Yahoo! Music has been made available for viewing at this location. Also available is a fan question-and-answer session with the group.

The performance footage, which was shot on April 27 in Los Angeles, California, includes the following tracks:

VELVET REVOLVER released its second album yesterday (July 3),titled "Libertad". The band took a long time to make the record, getting off to a false start with producer Rick Rubin before settling down to work with STONE TEMPLE PILOTS and PEARL JAM producer Brendan O'Brien. Bassist Duff McKagan told Launch that O'Brien helped whip the project into shape. "We just got excited through the process of making the record, and the songs evolving and taking life," he said. "We all started to believe in each other and there was a rebirth in our thought processes of why we do this in the first place. You know, it was never for money, it was never to be a rock star or get some fine booty. It was really about the song, and for all of us, that's one thing about this band, you know. We're musicians."

A limited edition of "Libertad" sold through Best Buy comes with a bonus DVD.

The first single from the album is "She Builds Quick Machines".

VELVET REVOLVER will celebrate the release of the CD with a special intimate club show at the famous Whisky-A-Go-Go in Los Angeles on Thursday (July 5).

The group will also appear on the July 12-13 edition of ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and begins a North American tour with ALICE IN CHAINS on August 5 in Baltimore.
