VELVET REVOLVER To Appear On 'Fantastic Four' Soundtrack
May 12, 2005According to Sp1at.com, a spokesperson for VELVET REVOLVER has confirmed that the band have recorded a new song for the "Fantastic Four" soundtrack. The film, which is about a group of astronauts who gain superpowers after exposure to cosmic radiation, is due for release in the U.S. on July 8. A trailer for the movie can be found at this location. The spokesperson also confirmed that VELVET REVOLVER will be releasing a live DVD this summer, although the release date is still to be confirmed.
VELVET REVOLVER recently officially announced their participation in Ozzfest 2005. The quintet will play the final seven dates of the 26-city tour beginning on August 23, taking over IRON MAIDEN's slot on the Ozzfest mainstage.
VELVET REVOLVER were originally planning to do 10 Ozzfest shows, but the number was subsequently reduced.
Besides BLACK SABBATH and VELVET REVOLVER, other mainstage acts include MUDVAYNE, SHADOWS FALL, and BLACK LABEL SOCIETY. The second stage will be headlined by Ozzfest veteran ROB ZOMBIE.
VELVET REVOLVER are currently on their own Electric Wonderland Show headlining tour.
