VENOM Are Recording 'Finest Slice Of Black Metal To Date'

June 27, 2005

VENOM frontman Conrad "Cronos" Lant has posted the following message on the new VENOM forum launched by the unofficial VENOM fan site Site of the Hydra:

"Greetings, legions.

"Yes, indeed, the new album is underway. We are laying down the backing tracks and bleeding with every note we play. This is a true pleasure for me considering that after my accident a couple of years back I thought I'd never make another album, but this is coming together really well, full of mayhem and hardcore metal from start to finish.

"We haven't set a release date as we are just concentrating on the recording process without any outside pressures or timelines. We are doing this our way, the way we know best, and that is to record the finest slice of black metal to date.

"We reckon this will be the heaviest VENOM album ever to emerge.

"Once we reach the mix stage we will have a better idea of when this will be released and we'll announce it on all of the VENOM websites.

"Until then, enjoy the 'Antechrist' demo stream, we may post some other demos up there soon also, keep your eyes peeled.

"Hell, yeah, stay wild muthafuckers."

As previously reported, a streaming audio sample of a brand-new VENOM demo, entitled "Antechrist", is available at the band's official web site.

VENOM's current incarnation consists of Cronos, drummer Antton and latest addition, guitarist Mykus.
