VIATROPHY Releases New Track, Announces New Lineup

August 5, 2008

UK underground death metal hopefuls VIATROPHY (Siege Of Amida Records) have released a pre-production demo track from their forthcoming debut album entitled "The Ethereal Darkness".

The band also took this opportunity to reveal its new vocalist Adam Mayes and guitarist John Jones.

Commented the group: "We're extremely stoked to announce the addition of JJ and Adam to the VIATROPHY fold. Previously a member of Candlelight Records artists THE SEVENTH CROSS, JJ is a more than able riff master. With lightning fast triplets and sweet party know-how, he more than fills the role of our second axeman.

"A former and founding member of VIATROPHY, Adam seamlessly shifts between the gutteral lows and visceral highs that are previously a part of THE SEVENTH CROSS with Reynolds, JJ is a more than able riff master. With lightning fast triplets and sweet party know-how, he more than fills the role of our second axeman.

"Adam's a former and founding member of VIATROPHY. He seamlessly shifts between the gutteral lows and visceral highs that are intrinsic to the VIATROPHY sound. Having written most of the lyrics for the 'Chronicles' EP, you guys need not be worried about if we're going to start singing about girls and haircuts and other boring shit. Tuck in or what?"
