VICIOUS ART Putting Finishing Touches On New Album

VICIOUS ART, the Swedish death/thrash metal band featuring former DARK FUNERAL members Matias Mäkelä and Robert Lundin, along with Jörgen Sandström (THE PROJECT HATE, ex-ENTOMBED, GRAVE) on bass, has issued the following update:

"We have been busy finishing all the details that comes with making an album ['Pick Up This Sick Child']. Mastering, finishing the album artwork, arranging gigs, rehearsed a few times, had vacations etc. But now everything should been done and the record company, Mighty Music, have probably started printing the damn thing. We really look forward to see the final product!! The artwork came out great, the mastering made by Jacob Hansen sounds fabulous and we are damn proud of the music we have written and recorded this time!!! "Now to celebrate all this work, we have planned, together with Club Distortion Sthlm, a release party!! This will happen November 9th at Tantogården in Stockholm, Sweden. Entrance and opening hour will be pronounced later. But this is what will happen:

"We will, of course, listen to the album in the speakers while drinking whatever you feel like. DJ this evening will be none other than god friend, Lord K Philipson of THE PROJECT HATE MC6. We will of course play some of the songs live before we start partying with all of you. And while we party we have invited Swedish beer monsters VOMITORY to play as well! What an evening!!! You should not miss this event!! We will see if we can get some invisible guests there as well to top of the evening.

"We have also been confirmed for the Linköping Metal Massacre with other bands like, KRUX, DEATH BREATH, PAIN, NOMINON, to name a few. If you didn't know, Jörgen is playing in both KRUX and DEATH BREATH as well so he will do three shows that day, what a hero!!! We will soon announce more gigs here. Mighty Music has set a November 13 Scandinavian release date for the second full-length album from VICIOUS ART. Entitled "Pick Up This Sick Child", the CD was recorded at Offbeat studios in Jakobsberg, Sweden and was mastered in Denmark by Jacob Hansen. The album artwork was created by Kristian Karlberg.

VICIOUS ART's debut album, "Fire Falls and the Waiting Waters", was released in October 2004 through Threeman Recordings in Europe (Candlelight Records in the U.S.).
