October 28, 2015
Legendary rocker Sammy Hagar and Vic Johnson performed at halftime during CBS's "Thursday Night Football" between the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks on October 22 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Video footage of the performance can be seen below.
Hagar recently confirmed to Ultimate Classic Rock that he has recorded one new song with his CHICKENFOOT bandmates, "Before I Die", and has vowed to continue making music with the supergroup, which also includes guitarist Joe Satriani, bassist Michael Anthony (ex-VAN HALEN) and drummer Chad Smith (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS).
Hagar's new band THE CIRCLE, which also features Michael Anthony, Jason Bonham and Vic Johnson, plays hits from Sammy's four decades of rock (MONTROSE, solo, VAN HALEN, THE WABORITAS, CHICKENFOOT) as well as classic tracks from the LED ZEPPELIN catalog.
