Fan-filmed video footage of Swedish metallers THE HAUNTED performing at the Maryland Deathfest in Baltimore, Maryland on May 27 can be seen below.

THE HAUNTED frontman Marco Aro told The Age Of Metal about the progress of the songwriting sessions for the band's follow-up to 2014's "Exit Wounds" album, Marco said: "We are, at the moment, writing. We've been writing for, on and off, about a year now. But this is when we start taking the writing serious. So we're actually being serious about the writing now. So afer this [most recent U.S.] tour, we're going home and we're gonna do some festivals and stuff and write in between and start scheduling for a recording date."

THE HAUNTED recently completed a short run of North American dates as the support act for AT THE GATES.

"Exit Wounds" was recorded with the group's longtime producer Tue Madsen at Denmark's Antfarm Studio (DARK TRANQUILLITY, HEAVEN SHALL BURN, SICK OF IT ALL) and features THE HAUNTED's revamped lineup: founding members Jonas Björler (bass) and Patrik Jensen (guitar) along with with returning members Adrian Erlandsson (drums) and Marco Aro (vocals),and the band's latest addition, guitarist Ola Englund.

"Exit Wounds" features two special guests appearing on the song "Trend Killer": Jed Simon (SCAR THE MARTYR, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD) on lead guitar and Chuck Billy (TESTAMENT) on vocals.
