VINCE NEIL Honored At 'Vegas Rocks! Magazine Awards'; Video, Photos Available

MTLEY CRE singer Vince Neil was honored with a "Lifetime Achievement In Rock 'N' Roll" award as part of the Vegas Rocks! Magazine Awards on August 21 in the main showroom of the Las Vegas Hilton. The event was hosted by Vegas Rocks! magazine founder/CEO Sally Steele and was preceded by a grand rock 'n' roll royal red-carpet media event with appearances with some of the most famous rock artists in the music industry, including Lemmy Kilmister (MOTRHEAD),John 5 (ROB ZOMBIE, MARILYN MANSON),Sebastian Bach (SKID ROW),Wayne Static (STATIC-X),Steven Adler (ADLER'S APPETITE, GUNS N' ROSES),Gilby Clarke (GUNS N' ROSES),Matt Sorum (VELVET REVOLVER, GUNS N' ROSES) and Chip Z'Nuff (ADLER'S APPETITE, ENUFF Z'NUFF).

Highlights of the event included a live performance of OZZY OSBOURNE's "Crazy Train" as a tribute to Randy Rhoads, featuring John 5, Carmine Appice, Sebastian Bach, Dario Lorina and Sean McNabb. Then Bach and Steve Stevens took to the stage to perform LED ZEPPELIN's "Whole Lotta Love" with an unexpected guest appearance by Vince Neil.

Other highlights for the evening included adult film legend Ron Jeremy and Frankie Moreno presenting an award, with Ron picking Frankie up and putting him over his shoulder and carrying him off the stage. There was also a tribute to rock guitar legend Jimi Hendrix with an all-star lineup which included most of the stars attending the show for the grand finale of "Fire".

Commented Sally Steele: "I was really happy that so many of my favorite artists came out to celebrate my publication's seven-year anniversary to make it an amazing rock-royalty-filled event. It was truly a historic night in rock and roll for Las Vegas! One thing I can say is that it might be hard to top this show next year but we will try!"
