VINCE NEIL: 'I Have No Interest In Getting Back With MÖTLEY CRÜE'

June 21, 2003

MÖTLEY CRÜE frontman Vince Neil recently spoke to Canadian journalist Mitch Lafon about the possibility of a reunion tour in the not-too-distant future. "There won't be any more tours," he said. "I know [bassist] Nikki [Sixx] has been telling everyone that there will be a farewell tour, but he didn't bother to ask anybody and I really have no interest in getting back with MÖTLEY CRÜE... [Nikki] does things without telling anybody and it's pissed everybody off and now I have to get lawyers involved and you just don't do shit the way he's doing things."

"[Nikki's] a fuckin' idiot!" Vince continued. "He's a moron, but you know. If [his new band BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION is] what he wants to do it's fine with me. I mean I do what I do and I'll go out and be on tour next year again and I'll be promoting a new studio record (which is already written and sounds like 'Exposed' — it's rock n roll) and after that keep going. This is what I do and I'll continue to keep doing it. It's sad that Nikki would rather just do… you know, we were supposed to tour last year with MÖTLEY and we were supposed to tour this year with MÖTLEY, but he wants to sit on his fuckin' ass and not do anything. I can't do that."

In the same interview, Neil talked about the much-anticipated movie version of MÖTLEY CRÜE's best-selling band autobiography, "The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band". "[Nikki] tells everybody that it's his movie. It has nothing to fuckin' do with him at all," Vince exclaimed. "Nothing. And each person in the band has input in that movie and Nikki has no more input than anybody else. But he likes to tell everybody that he does. And I don't think the movie is gonna get made anyway."
