October 18, 2006

Former PANTERA/DAMAGEPLAN drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott jammed with Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony earlier in the month at Sammy Hagar's Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico as part of Hagar's annual Birthday Bash. Check out pictures at the Big Vin RecordsMySpace page.

As previously reported, PANTERA has launched an official webstore at this location.

PANTERA's "Three Vulgar Videos from Hell" three-DVD set featuring all the band's videos as well as live footage shot during the Monsters of Rock gig in Moscow, was certified platinum on May 4, 2006 for U.S. shipments of 100,000 units.

Originally released on DVD in 1999, "Three Vulgar Videos from Hell" was recently reissued through Rhino Video, featuring the same content with improved menus and all-new Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound. In fact, it is the first PANTERA release ever in 5.1 Surround Sound. It features: "Cowboys From Hell: The Videos", "Vulgar Video", "3 Watch It Go", and "Pantera Live From Monsters of Rock In Moscow".

"DimeVision - Vol 1: That's The Fun I Have", the recently released DVD tribute to late PANTERA/DAMAGEPLAN guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott, was certified gold in June 2006 by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for U.S. shipments of 50,000 units.
