VINNIE PAUL To Attend Summer NAMM Convention This Weekend

July 12, 2006

Former PANTERA/DAMAGEPLAN drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott will in Austin, Texas this coming Saturday, July 15, 2006 at Emo's Lounge for the 2006 Summer NAMM convention. In what appears to be the only "open-to-the-public" event during the convention, Emo's Lounge will play host to the incredible and most awesome "Six-String Masterpieces" "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott tribute. "Six-String Masterpieces" is a charitable fine-art exhibit of Dean ML guitars that have been hand-painted, illustrated and sculpted by many of America's favorite rock musicians and tattoo artists. These world-class artists have donated their time and talent to this tribute by creating original works of art on a guitar with the encouragement of curator Curse Mackey. The exhibit was featured on MTV2's "Headbanger's Ball", which was recently hosted by Vinnie Paul. It will also be featured in Guitar Player magazine at the end of July.

"DimeVision - Vol 1: That's The Fun I Have", the recently released DVD tribute to late PANTERA/DAMAGEPLAN guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott, has been officially certified gold by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for U.S. shipments of 50,000 units. Meanwhile, PANTERA's "Three Vulgar Videos from Hell" three-DVD set featuring all the band's videos as well as live footage shot during the Monsters of Rock gig in Moscow, was certified platinum on May 4, 2006 for U.S. shipments of 100,000 units.

Originally released on DVD in 1999, "Three Vulgar Videos from Hell" was recently reissued through Rhino Video, featuring the same content with improved menus and all-new Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound. In fact, it is the first PANTERA release ever in 5.1 Surround Sound. It features: "Cowboys From Hell: The Videos", "Vulgar Video", "3 Watch It Go", and "Pantera Live From Monsters of Rock In Moscow".
