VINNIE PAUL Was 'Very Proud' To Have DIMEBAG's Guitar Inducted Into Hard Rock Café
September 22, 2006Former PANTERA/DAMAGEPLAN drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott has posted the following message on the Big Vin Records MySpace page:
"The Hard Rock [Café] 35th anniversary party was off the chain!!! Yes, the Hard Rock always does it top-notch and this was no different... lots of drinkin' and rockin'... MÖTLEY CRÜE kicked some major ass and it was fun seeing them in such an intimate setting.
"The highlight of the night for me was having Dime's [late PANTERA/DAMAGEPLAN guitarist and Vinnie's brother "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott] 'Reinventing the Steel' guitar inducted into the New York City Hard Rock. His legacy will live on forever and it was a very proud moment!! Also, REBEL MEETS REBEL looks like it may get nominated for a Grammy... If so, and you vote, please hook us up because it is truly a special collaboration!!"
