VIRGIN STEELE: Another CARNIVAL OF SOULS Show Announced

September 27, 2004

VIRGIN STEELE's David DeFeis, Edward Pursino and Josh Block will team up with former EXORCIST drummer Geoff Fontaine and keyboardist Lynn Delmato to perform another gig of "strange & beautiful" cover tunes (under the CARNIVAL OF SOULS banner) at the V.P. South in Amityville, NY on October 23 beginning at 10:00 p.m.

VIRGIN STEELE are currently writing material for the long-running Long Island, NY-based power metal group's next studio album, tentatively due in 2005.

DeFeis recently had the following to say about the the progress of the songwriting sessions for the upcoming CD: "After these [recently completed DeFeis/Pursino acoustic] dates, we will dive full-bore hardcore into the completion of the next album. The ideas are all there, and in fact there are about 40 demos already recorded. Hopefully it won't take too long to complete everything we wish to record. But we are not rushing. It will be ready…when it is ready. We want it to be the best one yet."
