VIXEN Among Finalists At INDEPENDENT MUSIC AWARDS

Female hard rockers VIXEN have been selected as finalists in two categories at this year's Independent Music Awards. "Best Song: Hard Rock/Metal" for "I Try" and "Best Album: Hard Rock/Metal" for "Live & Learn".

Created by Music Resource Group, publisher of the best-selling Musician's Atlas contact resource, the IMA program coordinates a variety of programs and events to market and promote IMA winners and finalists throughout the year, according to Sonicbids.com. Among the promotional benefits are online jukeboxes dedicated to both IMA Winners and IMA Finalists. MRG directs consumers and industry representatives to these two promotional areas through a series of high-profile marketing campaigns, advertising, trade show activities, promotional materials, etc.

Among the atist judges for the upcoming 2007 awards are Ozzy Osbourne, Wynonna, Suzanne Vega, Cyndi Lauper, Fatboy Slim, McCoy Tyner, Paul Oakenfold, Marc Ribot, Buddy Guy, David Grisman, Beenie Man and Howard Tate.

VIXEN will shortly be returning to Europe to perform a few shows as special guest to YNGWIE MALMSTEEN. The dates are as follows:

Dec. 14 - Helsinki, FIN @ House of Culture
Dec. 15 - Oulu, FIN @ Teatria
Dec. 16 - Tampere, FIN @ Club Pakkahuone
