VOLBEAT: European Headlining Dates Announced
November 23, 2007Danish metallers VOLBEAT will embark on a European headlining tour in February. Support on the shows will come from KAYSER, the Swedish band featuring former SPIRITUAL BEGGARS frontman Spice and ex-THE MUSHROOM RIVER BAND drummer Bob Ruben. Conirmed dates are as follows:

Feb. 16 - DE Bochum @ Zeche
Feb. 17 - DE München @ Backstage
Feb. 18 - DE Jena @ F-Haus

Feb. 22 - FR Paris @ Nouveau Casino
VOLBEAT will play alongside MEGADETH on February 8, 2008 at KB Hallen in Copenhagen, Denmark.
VOLBEAT's latest CD, "Rock The Rebel / Metal The Devil", was named "Best Album" at the Danish Metal Awards 2007, which were held on November 17 at Amager Bio in Copenhagen, Denmark. The LP was recently certified platinum in Denmark for sales in excess of 30,000 copies. According to the band this marks the first time a Danish metal album has sold platinum in Denmark.
"Rock The Rebel / Metal The Devil" entered the Danish chart at No. 1 upon its release in late February and stayed in the Top 5 for three months.
VOLBEAT supported METALLICA on July 13 in Århus, Denmark.
VOLBEAT earlier in the year announced the addition of guitarist Thomas Bredahl from the punk rock combo GOB SQUAD to the group's ranks. GOB SQUAD supported VOLBEAT on their Danish tour in 2006.
A new VOLBEAT DVD will be released on February 11, 2008 via Mascot Records.
