Less than a month after its release, "Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood", the third studio album from Danish metal rock 'n' rollers VOLBEAT, has been certifield gold in Denmark for sales in excess of 20,000 copies. The CD entered the Danish chart at No. 1, and was beaten only by METALLICA's "Death Magnetic" in its second week of release.
Commented VOLBEAT frontman Michael Poulsen: "Well, I can live with that, ha ha. METALLICA has been one of my biggest inspirations for many years, and still is. I think we should all be very thankful that we still have this amazing band around us. And with their new album, I can only say, THEY ARE BACK, and I love it. But hey, they have been here all the time delivering strong shows and classic albums. We made our own little tribute to METALLICA on our new album with the song 'Wild Rover Of Hell'. Chek it out on MySpace, or even better, check it out on the album."
