VOLBEAT Nominated In Four Categories At DANISH MUSIC AWARDS

VOLBEAT has been nominated in the following categories at the annual Danish Music Awards (the Danish Grammy Awards equivalent):

* Best Danish Album Of The Year
* Best Danish Band Of The Year
* Best Singer
* Best Danish Rock Album Of The Year

The 40th Danish Music Awards show will be held Saturday, February 23 in at Tivoli in Copenhagen, Denmark and will be broadcast live on MySpace. VOLBEAT will also perform during the ceremony.

Mascot has set a February 15, 2008 release date for the first-ever DVD from VOLBEAT, entitled "Live: Sold Out!" The double DVD digipack with an eight-page booklet includes concert and behind-the-scenes footage shot at everything from small venues to festival appearances to the band's support gig with METALLICA in Denmark.

VOLBEAT will embark on a European tour in February to promote the DVD.

VOLBEAT's latest CD, "Rock The Rebel / Metal The Devil", was named "Best Album" at the Danish Metal Awards 2007, which were held on November 17 at Amager Bio in Copenhagen, Denmark. The LP was recently certified platinum in Denmark for sales in excess of 30,000 copies. According to the band this marks the first time a Danish metal album has sold platinum in Denmark.

"Rock The Rebel / Metal The Devil" entered the Danish chart at No. 1 upon its release in late February and stayed in the Top 5 for three months.
