VOLBEAT: Quality Dallas Footage Available
April 21, 2011PITpov.com has posted video footage (see below) of VOLBEAT's April 13, 2011 performance at the House Of Blues in Dallas, Texas.
VOLBEAT bassist Anders Kjølholm was forced to leave the band's current U.S. tour and has returned home to Denmark to be with his family. The group states, "Everyone is doing well, and we ask that you understand this is a personal matter and give Anders and his family the privacy they need. Filling in for Anders and pulling double duty will be our good friend Josh Newton from THE DAMNED THINGS (and EVERY TIME I DIE). We want to thank Josh and THE DAMNED THINGS camp for stepping up and helping us out."
VOLBEAT's fourth album, "Beyond Hell/Above Heaven", was released digitally in the U.S. on November 9 and was made available as a physical CD on December 15.
"Beyond Hell/Above Heaven" was released in Germany on September 10 and in most parts of Europe on September 13 via Vertigo/Universal. The CD was once again recorded at Hansen Studios in Ribe, Denmark with producer Jacob Hansen. The cover artwork was created by illustrator Karsten Wrysand and can be viewed below.
"Beyond Hell/Above Heaven" features guest appearances by MERCYFUL FATE guitarist Michael Denner, NAPALM DEATH's Mark "Barney" Greenway and KREATOR's Mille Petrozza. Additionally, Jacob Oelund of the Copenhagen rockabilly outfit TAGGY TONES and songwriter Hanrik Hall swung by the studio to lay down some seriously swinging double bass and harmonica.
