VOLBEAT: 'Rock The Rebel / Metal The Devil' Certified Platinum In Denmark

VOLBEAT's "Rock The Rebel / Metal The Devil" CD has been certified platinum in Denmark for sales in excess of 30,000 copies. According to the band this marks the firs time a Danish metal album has sold platinum in Denmark.

"Rock The Rebel / Metal The Devil" entered the Danish chart at No. 1 upon its release in late February and stayed in the Top 5 for three months.

VOLBEAT supported METALLICA on July 13 in Ã…rhus, Denmark. Also appearing on the bill was MNEMIC.

VOLBEAT earlier in the year announced the addition of guitarist Thomas Bredahl from the punk rock combo GOB SQUAD to the group's ranks. GOB SQUAD supported VOLBEAT on their Danish tour in 2006.
