VOMITORY Begins Recording New Album; Title Revealed

January 5, 2009

Swedish death metallers VOMITORY have entered Leon Music Studios in Karlstad, Sweden with producer/engineer Rikard Löfgren to begin recording their seventh album, "Carnage Euphoria", for a late spring/early summer release via Metal Blade Records. According to the band, the CD will contain "ten songs of relentless death metal."

A studio diary documenting the recording sessions can be found on the official VOMITORYforum.

VOMITORY extended its contract with Metal Blade Records last spring for another four LPs. "After doing four successful albums out of our six together with Metal Blade, it was no doubt that we wanted to continue working with them," drummer Tobias Gustaffsson stated at the time. "Obviously, they like the way we deliver our death metal and we have no plans on letting them down on that from now on either!"

VOMITORY's last album, "Terrorize Brutalize Sodomize", released in April 2007.

The first two albums from VOMITORY"Raped In Their Own Blood" (1996) and "Redemption" (1999) — were released on vinyl through Animate/Fadeless Records.

Video footage of VOMITORY performing at the Trauma Fest, which was held November 7-8, 2008 at Sala El Grito in Fuenlabrada (Madrid),Spain, can be viewed below.
