VOODOO SIX To Support IRON MAIDEN In London
August 4, 2005VOODOO SIX, the band formed by former DIRTY DEEDS bassist Tony Newton, will be supporting IRON MAIDEN at their London Hammersmith Apollo show on September 2.
The concert will be a special benefit performance for former IRON MAIDEN drummer Clive Burr, who is suffering from multiple sclerosis.
All the profits from the show and the merchandising will be donated to the Trust and can then lift the fund back into action. All tickets will be £40 — and there will be no comps — not even for band families or management.
In other VOODOO SIX-related news, Newton is currently mixing IRON MAIDEN live songs that will be included on their forthcoming "The Trooper" single. Meanwhile, guitarist Richie Faulkner is presently in Florida recording and playing live in Steven Harris' daughter Lauren's band. He is expected to be returning to England in two weeks.
