'Vulgar Display' Book Author Schedules Signing At PLEASANT VALLEY JAM

September 22, 2007

Rock author, writer and photographer Chris Armold has been invited to sign copies of his new book "A Vulgar Display of Power: Courage and Carnage at the Alrosa Villa" at the second annual Pleasant Valley Jam on Saturday, September 29 at the new Ohio National Guard Armory located at 2154 Narrows Road, Chillicothe, Ohio. Local and regional bands have joined together in unity to raise money and awareness for the Child Protection Center of Ross County which aids children who have been sexually or physically assaulted. Their services are provided to the child and their families free of charge regardless of the family's income level or ability to pay.

"A Vulgar Display of Power: Courage and Carnage at the Alrosa Villa", which features a foreword by Officer James Niggemeyer, and a memorial written by Frank Thompson, is the authorized biography of Jeffery "Mayhem" Thompson, former head of security for DAMAGEPLAN, and two other heroes — audience member Nathan Bray and venue security member Erin Halk — who died December 8, 2004 at a nightclub shooting in Columbus, Ohio which also claimed the life of DAMAGEPLAN guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott.

The Child Protection Center is a 501-c3 non profit organization. All donations are tax deductible.
