W.A.S.P. Drummer Announces His Departure From CARNIVAL OF SOULS

February 5, 2005

Drummer Stet Howland (W.A.S.P., RUN21, BLACKFOOT, BELLADONNA, KILLING MACHINE) has announced his departure from the New York-based hard rock band CARNIVAL OF SOULS. Stet's official statement on the matter reads as follows:

"During the latter part of this year's second W.A.S.P. world tour, it became clear that without a firm CARNIVAL OF SOULS schedule or at least a firm plan for 2005, I could not afford to donate anymore time to CARNIVAL OF SOULS. In an attempt to preserve the band's integrity I chose to hold this announcement until CARNIVAL OF SOULS secured a replacement. However, in true CARNIVAL OF SOULS fashion, I received zero communication and had to hear about it on the street.

"It is clear that this is just not the right time for our musical paths to cross despite the magic we captured on 'Ashes to Ashes' — a year ago.

"Thanks so much to all the fans that welcomed W.A.S.P., myself and then CARNIVAL OF SOULS over the past year — you guys are the best!!! I can't wait to see you all again this year as W.A.S.P. gears up for another go at it.

"Last spring I was in the middle of many projects when Blackie called, CARNIVAL OF SOULS included. W.A.S.P. gave me the opportunity to bring 'my new project' to our fans and you guys responded . I appreciate that you guys took a look at CARNIVAL OF SOULS, rest assured — I'll dish out nothing less in the future. I value the support and opinions of dedicated rock fans.

"With a new year comes a new set of goals . There's so much to look forward to in 2005, but my #1 priority is my marriage this November to the love of my life, Christina.

"Many other things fill my plate this year including rebuilding my studio, producing my video instructional series, hooking up with OxO [Jimmy Carter] and Dug [Blair] to track the new RUN21 CD, and tending to my ever-increasing portfolio of investments. I'd say that's enough to keep most busy and fulfilled — but to be honest, I cant wait to get back out there and level the world with my bros in W.A.S.P. It's always a pleasure to work with true professionals.

"I'd like to wish CARNIVAL OF SOULS the best — see you guys on the road."
