W.A.S.P. Tour Cancelled?

September 30, 2002

Despite Metal Blade Records' assertion last week that ENGINE's upcoming North American tour with W.A.S.P. was still most definitely on, there are strong indications that Blackie and co. have indeed pulled the plug on the trek. Many of the ticket holders who had purchased advance tickets via online outlets have been notified of several of the shows' cancellations, and the Ticketmaster web site is currently listing a growing number of the previously-announced dates — including those in Albuquerque, Asbury Park and Detroit — as having been called off. So far, there has been no official word on the matter from the W.A.S.P. camp, who have responded to the complaints registered by the group's fans via the band's official message board by shutting the forum down altogether without so much as an explanation.
