W.A.S.P. Tour Still On!

September 25, 2002

Despite rumors to the contrary, W.A.S.P.'s previously-announced North American tour is going ahead as scheduled, according to Metal Blade Records, whose act ENGINE (featuring FATES WARNING frontman Ray Alder and ARMORED SAINT bassist Joey Vera) is slated to fill the opening slot on the trek. At this time, it appears that ALABAMA THUNDERPUSSY and former RATT frontman STEPHEN PEARCY are no longer part of the package, even though a message on W.A.S.P.'s official web site still lists the two acts as having been confirmed for the tour. Similarly, there has been no official word regarding the addition of DIRT to the bill, although the latter act's management company, Hollowpoint Management, is indicating via their web site that the Houston band have been confirmed for the trek.
