WAGE WAR To Release New Album 'Landfall' In October

September 4, 2026

After releasing the "It Calls Me By Name" EP this past spring, Florida's WAGE WARBriton Bond (lead vocals),Cody Quistad (rhythm guitar, clean vocals),Seth Blake (lead guitar),Chris Gaylord (bass) and Stephen Kluesener (drums) — has announced the new album, "Landfall", due out digitally October 9 via Fearless Records. The band has also shared the visualizer for the vicious title track. Check it out below.

Opening with a foreboding emergency broadcast-style alarm before erupting in a bludgeoning riff, WAGE WAR continue to indulge their heaviest side with "Landfall". It's a groove-heavy, guitar-forward anthem that sounds like... vengeance. The hellbound screams of Bond are punctuated by Quistad's melodic singing, making it a gloriously unpredictable listen. WAGE WAR are at their heaviest and most melodic — ever — with this track, as they continue to push their own boundaries. It's WAGE WAR, but bigger, stronger, louder, and as impactful as ever.

"'Landfall' is a song about imminent danger and the realization that we aren't in control," WAGE WAR states. "Referencing our Florida roots, the hurricane imagery became a way of talking about that feeling of being completely at the mercy of something bigger than yourself. Musically, we wanted the verses to feel heavy and threatening, with the chorus being somber and inevitable."

WAGE WAR has spent its storied career cultivating a reputation for snarling breakdowns, infectious hooks and its own gripping take on the metalcore realms, with its releases also often lyrically packing a connective punch via themes of mental health, introspection and perseverance. Releasing its debut full-length "Blueprints" in 2015, WAGE WAR has since unleashed five studio albums, including the evolutionary 2024 LP "Stigma". Fluent in creating hybrid heavy creations and no strangers to chart success, including taking out the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay chart for the single "Magnetic", WAGE WAR also dropped an EP, "It Calls Me By Name", a collection of songs shaped by Florida, the swamp and the relentless aggression of nature.
