September 15, 2008

Boston's legendary thrashers WARGASM took part in a four-song acoustic performance on August 31, 2008 on WAAF's "Bay State Rock" show with Carmelita. The performance also included members of STEEL ASSASSIN and GOZU and featured original WARGASM songs as well as NWOBHM classics.

Watch video footage of this special event below.

WARGASM played a special reunion show Saturday night (September 13) at the Middle East in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The set was reportedly recorded for future release as "Why Play Alive!" As with the band's 2004 reunion concert, the show was held in conjunction with Rawkstars, a music education-based non-profit that benefits low-income Boston-area kids.

WARGASM's newly released "Live In Boston 2004: Knee Deep In Middle East" DVD was filmed at the Middle East in Cambridge during the band's 2004 reunion concert and is packed with extras spanning the group's 10-year run and beyond.

WARGASM will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of its classic "Why Play Around?" album by playing an additional show on September 19 at Club Hell in Providence, Rhode Island.
