Kirk Hammett, legendary guitarist of the multi-platinum-selling and nine-time-Grammy Award-winning band METALLICA, has shared an official Brett Murray Films-directed video of the July 4 "The Collection: Live - A Conversation With Kirk Hammett" book event at EartH (Evolutionary Arts Hackney) in London, United Kingdom. The intimate, live discussion with Phil Alexander, long-term editor of Kerrang! magazine and well-known broadcaster, took a deep dive into Kirk's storied music career and celebrated the launch of his new coffee table book, "The Collection: Kirk Hammett". Joining Hammett on stage at one point during the London event was METALLICA bassist Robert Trujillo, who took part in a surprise jam with the guitarist.

"The Collection: Live - A Conversation With Kirk Hammett" events were part of METALLICA's 2026 weekend takeovers at various cities during the band's "M72" European tour.

METALLICA brought its "M72" world tour to a close with two huge shows on July 3 and July 5 at London Stadium.

Like most of the dates on the tour, the London shows were of the "no repeat" variety, meaning no song was played more than once.

Night one, July 3, saw French metal outfit GOJIRA and Kentucky punkers KNOCKED LOOSE as support, while night two, July 5, featured Swedish metal band AVATAR and reformed groove legends PANTERA.

METALLICA's next live-music adventure is its highly anticipated and sold-out "Life Burns Faster" 24-date residency at The Sphere in Las Vegas that kicks off in early October and is currently set to run until March.
