WE WERE GENTLEMEN To Release 'Living Hell' In July

June 4, 2009

Virginia Beach's WE WERE GENTLEMEN will release its new album, "Living Hell", on July 14 via Century Media Records. The CD was recorded at Planet Red Studios in Richmond, Virginia with producer Andreas Magnusson (THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, HASTE THE DAY).

Two songs from the album — "Cradle Your Filth" and "Deep Blue" — are available for streaming on the band's MySpace page.

Commented the band: "We are so stoked for 'Living Hell' to be released! We worked really hard writing and recording the record and we can't wait for everyone to hear it. Andreas Magnusson did an awesome job and we feel it represents us and our style perfectly. We are also happy to announce two CD-release shows. The first will be at Jaxx in Springfield, VA on Saturday, July 11 and the other will be shortly after that in our hometown of Virginia Beach, VA (details will be posted on our MySpace page shortly). So if you are in the area, please come out and hang."

WE WERE GENTLEMEN, which formed in 2005, quickly ascended to the top of the underground due to playing alongside such heavyweights as CONVERGE, A LIFE ONCE LOST, THE RED CHORD and SUICIDE SILENCE.

When WE WERE GENTLEMEN decided to take the band to the next level, co-founders Kalan Blehm and Richard Nuepert went out and financed a van and trailer and began booking tours up and down the East Coast with bands such as MY BITTER END (Uprising Records),CASSIUS (Lifeforce Records),and ABACABB (Summerian Records). Since this time, the band has exploded in popularity, having amassed over 57,000 friends on MySpace.
