WES BORLAND Announces Art Shows In Chicago, Philadelphia

October 3, 2008

Former LIMP BIZKIT and current BLACK LIGHT BURNS/MARILYN MANSON member Wes Borland has scheded the following art shows:

Oct. 25 - Gallery Provocateur - Chicago, Illinois (8:00 p.m.)
Jan. 02 - T&P Fine Art - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (7:00 p.m.)

Commented Borland: "While you patiently wait for us [BLACK LIGHT BURNS] to finish our new record, please head over to my painting page where you will find a couple of new music/noise items. Both have replaced all of the previous wisps of weirdness that were released as an addition to the 10 covers on the last BLACK LIGHT BURNS effort ('Cover You Heart And The Anvil Pants Odyssey'). This stuff may or may not be used in the future as far as scoring film, BLB, and/or other projects. It's always nice to be able to put recent recordings up between releases for no real reason except to say hello and to let you in on a little of where my head space is lately. That doesn't mean that everything I'm doing sounds like this. Believe you me, we're waking the dead on the next BLB record, but it's fun to share. Also, when you go over there, please take note of the two art shows I have coming up in Chicago and Philly. The new paintings for those shows can be viewed in the photos section over there."

BLACK LIGHT BURNS earlier in the year released "Cover Your Heart And The Anvil Pants Odyssey", a combination CD and DVD package on I Am: Wolfpack/YMA Music Group. Packed with reinterpreted songs of bands including DURAN DURAN ("Hungry Like the Wolf"),THE JESUS LIZARD ("The Art of Self Defense"),SISTERS OF MERCY ("Lucretia My Reflection") and PJ HARVEY ("Rid of Me"),"Cover Your Heart" is a deconstruction and reconstruction of music that the band has loved and appreciated.
