WES BORLAND On BLACK LIGHT BURNS: New Album Is '90% Finished'

September 2, 2008

BLACK LIGHT BURNS mainman/ex-LIMP BIZKIT guitarist Wes Borland has issued the following update:

"The new [BLACK LIGHT BURNS] record is about 90% finished. Nick [Annis, BLB guitarist] and I are doing some final guitar tracks tomorrow and then we'll polish the mixes. As far as my opinion is concerned, we just topped 'Cruel Melody' [BLACK LIGHT BURNS' debut album]. I'm so excited for you guys to hear this... We might have to put some songs up soon. We're currently booking shows for January-February 2009 in the U.S. with COMBICHRIST. A few more possible engagements have presented themselves before next year, but we'll have to wait and see how things work out. I can't wait to come over to Europe and Japan. So much is happening. Excited."

BLACK LIGHT BURNS recently released "Cover Your Heart and The Anvil Pants Odyssey", a combination CD and DVD package on I Am: Wolfpack/YMA Music Group. Packed with reinterpreted songs of bands including DURAN DURAN ("Hungry Like the Wolf"),THE JESUS LIZARD ("The Art of Self Defense"),SISTERS OF MERCY ("Lucretia My Reflection") and PJ HARVEY ("Rid of Me"),"Cover Your Heart" is a deconstruction and reconstruction of music that the band has loved and appreciated.
