WES BORLAND Performs LIMP BIZKIT's 'Nookie' With COMBICHRIST; Video Available

February 18, 2009

LIMP BIZKIT guitarist Wes Borland, who also fronts a new project called BLACK LIGHT BURNS, joined COMBICHRIST on stage for a very special encore on February 14, 2009 at the Norva in Norfolk, Virginia featuring an impromptu rendition of the LIMP BIZKIT track "Nookie".

Watch fan-filmed video footage of the performance below.

Commented COMBICHRIST drummer Joe Letz: "We had invited Wes and Marshall [Kilpatric, BLACK LIGHT BURNS drummer] to join us onstage for a very special encore of COMBICHRIST songs, and right after performing 'Today We Are All Demons', Andy [LaPlegua, COMBICHRIST vocalist] mentioned Wes' recently announced reunion with LIMP BIZKIT. We then went into a little playback of 'Nookie', which saw our tour manager Dink running out on stage with a microphone and a red baseball cap. Wes was a great sport and played along with the track with the rest of us. We then finished off our set with 'This Shit Will Fuck You Up' and 'What The Fuck Is Wrong With You People', which we invited all of BLACK LIGHT BURNS on stage for and basically broke everything that wasn't nailed down."

Letz continued: "Let us be the first to say that we support wes and his decision to reunite with LIMP BIZKIT. Wes' presence and performance in that band was a big influence on me personally growing up and I'll by psyched on seeing him rock out with them once again. We will also be looking forward to LIMP downtime so that we can bring our new brothers [in BLACK LIGHT BURNS] out on tour with us again."
