WHITESNAKE: Footage From DOWNLOAD Festival Posted Online

June 15, 2009

Video footage of WHITESNAKE's June 14, 2009 performance at the Download festival at Donington Park, United Kingdom can be viewed below. According to NME.com, WHITESNAKE frontman David Coverdale spoke of how the performance marked the fourth time the band had played Donington, the other times being at the Monsters of Rock festival which used to take place on the Donington Park site. "They may have changed it, but the heart and soul's the same," he said of the festival. He then commented on the sunshine, saying "This is the British Riviera!"

WHITESNAKE's setlist was as follows:

01. Best Years
02. Bad Boys
03. Can You Hear The Wind
04. Love Ain't No Stranger
05. Guilty of Love
06. Lay Down Your Love
07. Deeper the Love
08. Is This Love
09. Got What You Need
10. Ain't No Love In the Heart of the City
11. Give Me All Your Love
12. Here I Go Again
13. Still Of The Night

WHITESNAKE will team up with British heavy metal legends JUDAS PRIEST for a number of North American shows this summer.

WHITESNAKE and JUDAS PRIEST last toured together in South America during 2005 to great critical and commercial success and maintain a great friendship. WHITESNAKE will also be headlining several of its own U.S. shows during the tour with JUDAS PRIEST.

WHITESNAKE's appearance at U.K.'s Download festival coincided with action-packed re-releases of the multi-platinum albums "Slip Of The Tongue", marking its 20th anniversary, and "Slide It In", which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.
