April 12, 2005

WHITESNAKE have posted the following message on their official web site:

"WHITESNAKE singer David Coverdale regrets to announce that he and bass player/singer Marco Mendoza have mutually agreed to go their separate ways. Marco has other musical avenues he wishes to pursue that conflict with WHITESNAKE activities. They wish each other well in their independent endeavors. WHITESNAKE are currently seeking a replacement for their forthcoming U.S. tour."

Mendoza is currently touring the U.S. with SOUL SIRKUS, which also features Neal Schon (JOURNEY) on guitar, Jeff Scott Soto (TALISMAN, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) on vocals, and Virgil Donati (STEVE VAI, RING OF FIRE) on drums.
