WHYZDOM: Traditional Irish Song Posted Online
December 16, 2010French symphonic gothic ensemble WHYZDOM, which recently announced the addition of singer Clémentine Delauney to the group's ranks, has issued the following update:
"Dear friends, here [see video below] is a small Christmas gift for all friends of WHYZDOM! We decided to record a very special song to let you discover Clémentine's voice. It's a traditional Irish song called 'Bonny Portmore'. It's very different from what we usually play, so it won't be released on the forthcoming album. Moreover, we shot a video clip for it, to celebrate Clémentine arrival! Enjoy!"
WHYZDOM previously stated about Delauney: "Clémentine received an intensive artistic training since her youngest age: contemporary dance, classical and jazz piano, theatre, classical singing (she joined the Maîtrise of Lyon Opera in 2003). Motivated by the everlasting will to let her voice express itself in a symphonic metal band, it's an immense pleasure to welcome her in our family."
WHYZDOM recently played two shows with Lisa Middelhauve, former frontwoman for German goth metallers XANDRIA, filling in, following the departure of singer Telya Melane. Middelhauve is also expected to appear on WHYZDOM's next album as a guest singer.
WHYZDOM's debut CD, "From The Brink Of Infinity", was released in September 2009 via Ascendance Records.
