Will There Be A LED ZEPPELIN Reunion Part Two?
September 19, 2007The Pulse of Radio (formerly Launch Radio Networks) reports: LED ZEPPELIN has already lined up a reunion benefit show on November 26 in London. But now the Belfast Telegraph reports that there's been speculation that the band is eyeing another show. According to the article, singer Robert Plant wants to line something up for next November when Belfast's Ulster Hall reopens. It happens to be the site where the band debuted "Stairway to Heaven" in 1971.
The upcoming London show will pay tribute to late Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun. Tickets are being handled by a ballot system, and concert organizers have told fans this week to "be patient and to remember this is a ballot system and that all registrations will have equal standing regardless if they register first or last." Registration closes today (Wednesday, September 19).
The London show will also feature performances by PETE TOWNSEND and BILL WYMAN AND THE RHYTHM KINGS, among others.
Proceeds will go to the Ahmet Ertegun Education Fund, which provides students with annual scholarships to universities in the UK, USA and Turkey.
