WINDS OF PLAGUE Confirmed For Next Year's VANS WARPED TOUR

December 16, 2010

After annihilating the masses on the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival throughout the summer of 2010, Southern California metallers WINDS OF PLAGUE will further spread their carnage across North America on the Vans Warped Tour in the summer of 2011. This is a huge opportunity for the band to perform in front of a different crowd while definitely bringing something unique to this festival to separate itself from the pack. Expect big circle pits and one of the most energetic performances of the day.

"The Warped Tour has been an event I have been attending since I started going to shows and needless to say, I have always wanted to participate in it, so we are very excited to say the least," stated vocalist Johnathan "Johnny Plague" Cooke. "Warped has always been known for the eclectic lineups and I am anxious to get in front of a new crowd and continue to build the WINDS OF PLAGUE army. It's going to be a wild summer, so we hope you can all come and hang with us."

The members of WINDS OF PLAGUE are certainly in the spirit of the holiday season, which is extremely evident in a "hilarious" video they recently filmed on their current "December Decimation" headlining tour. Check out the clip below.

WINDS OF PLAGUE recently entered a Los Angeles studio with renowned producer Matt Hyde (SLAYER, HATEBREED) to begin recording its new album for an early 2011 release via Century Media Records. Cooke previously stated about the effort, "I can confidently say this will be our best offering yet. Both fans of 'Decimate The Weak' and 'The Great Stone War' will be pleased for we haven't altered the formula or strayed from our roots, but injected them with rage and fury. The game certainly will change in 2011."

"The Great Stone War", the latest album from WINDS OF PLAGUE, sold 6,300 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 73 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD was released on August 11, 2009 in the U.S. via Century Media Records.
