WITCHKING Parts Ways With Singer, Seeks Replacement
April 15, 2009Polish epic heavy metal band WITCHKING has issued the following update:
"Today Tomek 'Storm' Twardowski [vocals] has left WITCHKING. His personal affairs do not allow him to further engage into WITCHKING."
Commented guitarist Mateusz Gajdzik: "The decision has been made together with Tom. There are no hard feelings between us, we're still friends and I hope we will drink something together in the future. We have recorded two albums together, we have all learned a lot during that time, and I hope that Tomek will join some band very soon."
WITCHKING is currently seeking a replacement vocalist. All applications should be sent to [email protected].
Twardowski will play his final show with WITCHKING on April 21 in Kraków alongside TÝR, ALESTORM and HEIDEVOLK.
"Metal Grail", the latest video from WITCHKING, can be viewed below. The clip was shot on November 11, 2008 by Psychrape Art at Rotunda club in Krakow. The song comes off the group's sophomore album, "Hand of Justice", which came out last Septemebr via Insanity Records.
Formed in 2003, WITCHKING released its self-titled debut LP in 2007 via the French label Aural Offerings.
