WOE OF TYRANTS: 'Break The Fangs Of The Wicked' Posted Online

February 18, 2009

"Break the Fangs of the Wicked", the new video from Ohio's WOE OF TYRANTS, can be viewed below. The clip was directed by Jake Beemer with Siege Media and filmed at the Majestic Theatre in Chillicothe, Ohio.

Vocalist Chris Catanzaro explains the video and its concept: "We were very honored to have the opportunity to work with Jake and the crew of Siege Media on our first video for the new record, 'Kingdom of Might'. The song is entitled 'Break the Fangs of the Wicked', and despite being one of our most popular live songs, 'Fangs' was chosen due to the fact that it successfully culminates the diversity and overall theme of the entire record. The video was shot in our hometown of Chillicothe at the legendary Majestic Theater. We were fortunate enough to have some close, and very talented, friends come out to serve as the performers in the video. The storyline follows the song in that the song is about rising above negativity and evil and going back to square one in our love for our fellow person. We felt this was an important message to convey amidst a genre that speaks death almost constantly, and thanks to the professionalism of the crew we are very confident that it is going to turn out even better than we initially expected!"

WOE OF TYRANTS will spend the next few months on the road with PSYOPUS, BURNING THE MASSES, CATTLE DECAPITATION and others, with dates that include an appearance at this year's New England Hardcore and Metal Festival on Friday, April 17.

According to a press release, WOE OF TYRANTS is "comprised of five guys dead-set on playing metal the way they want to, never listening or caring what scene they belong to or what sells the most records; who mix the best of death, thrash, and power metal in a concoction that defies pigeon-holing. Mix the vintage sounds of TESTAMENT and METALLICA, brutal death metal, epic power metal, and even some southern fried flair thrown on top, and you have what has become known as WOE OF TYRANTS."
