WOE OF TYRANTS To Enter Studio In May

December 8, 2007

Chillicothe, Ohio's WOE OF TYRANTS, who recently inked a deal with Metal Blade Records, has issued the following update:

"We have put up a new jam [on our MySpace page], 'The Seven Braids of Samson'. This is a sample of the new material that we recorded to give you guys something to chew on while we finish writing this record.

"We plan on hitting the studio in May to record our Metal Blade Records debut, entitled 'Kingdom of Might', and have enlisted Joey Sturgis at Foundation Studios to serve as our engineer. We are very excited to work with Joe and feel he can capture the exact sound we are going for on this album.

"We had planned on touring through the winter, but after talking with the label decided that it would work out much better to make the album top priority, with extensive touring to take place starting in June 2008 and going until 2067! We will continue to do shows here and there while we write the rest of the record.

"Thanks for the patience, kids, you will not be disappointed with this album."

According to a press release, WOE OF TYRANTS is "comprised of five guys dead-set on playing metal the way they want to, never listening or caring what scene they belong to or what sells the most records; who mix the best of death, thrash, and power metal in a concoction that defies pigeon-holing. Mix the vintage sounds of TESTAMENT and METALLICA, brutal death metal, epic power metal, and even some southern fried flair thrown on top, and you have what has become known as WOE OF TYRANTS."
