WOLFMOTHER Signs North American Publishing Deal

October 24, 2006

Australian hard rock trio WOLFMOTHER has signed with Cherry Lane Music for its North American publishing, acording to Hits Daily Double.

Commented Cherry Lane's SVP Creative Services & Marketing Richard Stumpf: "WOLFMOTHER is one of the few groups today who successfully fuse vintage guitar rock sounds with an edgy, contemporary musical vibe that resonates with both young and old. And after a coupla bong hits, they sound just like BLACK SABBATH."

In other news, The Australian reports that WOLFMOTHER conquered a new frontier Tuesday night (Oct. 24),streaming a live show via Vodafone's 3G network to mobile phones around Australia.

The show, streamed live from Melbourne's intimate 200-seat venue, The Chapel, was uploaded via the Internet, encoded and compressed for 3G mobile phones in Sydney, put on Vodafone's broadcast server, and delivered, free, to anyone around the country in a Vodafone 3G coverage area. The delay for this process was estimated to be "just a handful of seconds".

"It's a long way from the Commodore 64 computer I used to work on," said WOLFMOTHER's bass and keyboard player Chris Ross.
